What do these figures mean?
The figures show that in 2021, we made a gradual recovery from the coronavirus crisis. We even exceeded the 110% minimum threshold for indexation by the end of 2021. This is great news. However, it was not yet possible to apply full indexation.
Indexation
Indexation of 1.09% was possible from 1 January 2022. This covers part of the 3.28% price increase in 2021 (CPI derived from October 2020 to October 2021). This was mainly because of legal guidelines but we may be able to supplement indexation retroactively. A Governmental Decree has now been adopted in the House of Representatives, which may allow additional indexation to be granted.
