What can you do if you want help with decisions about your pension options?

There are all kinds of decisions (Dutch) you can make before retiring and on retirement. What’s best for you mainly depends on your personal situation. Would you like some help with these decisions? When you turn 62, you can get advice from the pension consultants at our pension provider AZL. We’re delighted with this, because we believe that guidance regarding your pension options is very important. When you turn 62, you’ll receive an invitation.
What’s the procedure if you’ve recently become a member of the TNO Pension Fund pension scheme and wish to transfer funds from another pension?

If you have built up a pension through your previous employer, you can transfer it. You can request a quote for this by downloading the application form under ‘Documents’ on the site. Moving funds in the opposite direction is also possible. If you have left employment, as a former participant of the TNO Pension Fund pension scheme you can transfer your accrued pension funds to a new pension fund.
Is it possible to withdraw a large lump sum at once from your pension if you retire in 2024?

Unfortunately, the ‘Lump Sum' act (wet ‘Bedrag ineens’) has been postponed again. We mentioned some time ago that an option to withdraw a large amount at once at the start of your retirement would become available. Your pension would then be lower, and various aspects have to be taken into account. When the time comes, we’ll let you know. In any case, this new law will not come into effect on 1 July 2024. This will be 1 January 2025 at the earliest.
