Useful to know: ‘Mijn pensioen’

The new ‘Mijn pensioen’ portal was launched on 1 December 2021. Have you already taken a look? This new digital environment is changing gradually.

The digital environment is being updated so we can inform you even better in the future about all your pension options. We’re doing this in stages. In the future, you’ll be able to arrange your pension from A to Z yourself in the completely updated environment. You can then prepare for your pension using very concrete questions. For example, do you want to gradually phase out your work from ten years prior to your state retirement (AOW) date or keep working full or part-time? With the updated ‘Mijn pensioen’, you can examine all the different scenarios over time and see what these mean for you financially. Once you have made your choice, you can then request your pension. That’s what we’re working towards. You can then prepare your pension, plan your pension, and request your pension in ‘Mijn pensioen’.

Step-by-step: what you can already do

The first step was the go-live of the new pension environment, which happened in December 2021. So you can already take a look. You can change your contact details in your profile, such as your telephone number, or your e-mail address.

Do you have to tell us if you relocate?

You don’t need to inform us if you relocate. When you register at your new address, we’ll receive your new address details automatically from the Dutch Personal Records Database (BRP). In due course, you’ll also see your new address on your personal pages in ‘Mijn pensioen’.

This does not apply if you move abroad or change addresses while you’re living abroad. You must inform our pension administrator AZL of this change. If you change your correspondence address, the systems will ensure that your address is updated in the pension administration.

Your pension details

You can also view various data* in the updated pension environment. You can see how much pension you have accrued, what you will receive when you retire, and what any partner or children will receive when you die. Or what you will receive if you have an occupational disability. You can also view your pension overviews for the previous years in ‘Documents’.

Have you retired part-time or are you continuing to work until your state retirement (AOW) age? The updated pension environment has unfortunately not yet been adapted for this. We are currently adding the details of your pension payment.

Preview: this will be available soon

We are working hard behind the scenes on all the next steps. We expect that you will be able to view pension scenarios in the new environment’s pension planner this spring. You’ll be able to see how your pension changes if you select your retirement date and use one of the options such as a high-low pension, in which you first receive a higher pension and a lower one later. You can use the pension planner to see how your choices will affect the amount of your pension.

Less paperwork, less error-prone

The step that then follows is that you can actually request your pension in the online environment. That makes your pension request a lot easier and less error-prone. You then no longer need to fill in all kinds of forms; so it’s a lot clearer. And, of course, our pension administrator AZL is always there to help you with any problems or questions.

We’ll keep you informed

Of course, as soon as the pension planner is available in the updated environment, we’ll let you know via a news item on our website. The ultimate goal is that you will be able to use ‘Mijn pensioen’ not only to prepare your pension but to plan and request it.
