What do you need to do if...

Three practical tips

What you need to know about the coronavirus crisis and your pension statement.

You will receive your annual uniform pension statement in June/July again. You can then see how much pension you have accrued and the final pension you can expect to receive. It is an overview of your pension accrual situation on 31 December 2019. If you would like to know how TNO Pension Fund is doing, check the coverage ratio on your pension statement or on the website; it gives you an indication of the pension fund’s financial health. Alternatively, follow the news updates on our website.

See how much pension you will receive if financial setbacks occur.

As a new feature on your annual pension statement (UPS), we provide a pension estimate for future windfalls and setbacks. An image with three arrows shows your pension in three situations: your expected pension, the amount if your pension falls short of expectations, and the amount if your pension exceeds expectations. You can read more about how certain your pension is on the website.

If you have a major financial setback, this is good to know.

You have a good job, but a divorce, the death of a family member, illness, or problems at home can suddenly lead to major financial headaches. If this happens, go to the Social Personnel Fund. It is there for colleagues and may be able to help you. The SPF was established 68 years ago. It is a special TNO initiative for TNO employees and TNO Pension Fund’s pension beneficiaries. If you would like more information, read the interview with Ellen La Haye from a few years ago or consult the SPF info under Documents.
